Jaytech Software GDPR compliance

1. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, Jaytech Software AB (556721-4431) is the Data Controller of your personal information. See elsewhere on this website how to contact us.

2. Personal information may be collected by us for the purpose of creating or upholding a business relation with our customers and suppliers.

3. The purpose of holding the information is to ensure we can communicate with and fulfill our obligations towards our current and prospective customers, as well as our suppliers.

4. The legal bases we have for collecting this information are the following:

a. Contractual, meaning we need the information to fulfill contracts we enter into.
b. Legal obligation, meaning we need the information to comply with the law.
c. Consensual, meaning you have agreed to provide us with the information.

5. The information we collect may be name, e-mail address, business address and/or phone number. In the case of personal visits to our company premises, you may have your picture taken by surveillance cameras. See more about surveillance footage under item 12.

6. The information collected will never be shared with anybody else, unless we are legally required to do so. The information will not be sold or used for any other purposes than outlined above.

7. The information will normally be stored for the duration of the business relation, contract, or consent. However, certain information must for legal reasons be retained a number of years after a business relation or contract has ended. E.g. data that is part of our bookkeeping has to be stored for at least 7 years.

8. You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal information. You also have the right to request erasure of some or all of your personal information, provided this does not conflict with our legal needs to retain the information.

9. If our storage of your personal information is based on your consent only, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.

11. Your personal information will in no case be automatically processed or be subject to automatic decision making.

Additional information regarding CCTV

12. Our company premises are guarded by security cameras. The sole purpose of this is to deter crimes and to protect us and our visitors.

13. The CCTV system is operated by an individual who is knowledgeable both about the system and your legal rights for privacy. Access to the CCTV system and its footage is strictly limited.

14. Our legal basis for storing surveillance footage is what is called Legitimate Interest, i.e. we consider it important to protect ourselves and our visitors from crime.

15. Surveillance footage is only kept for a limited time (less than a year).

16. Surveillance footage is not viewed by, or shared with, anybody, unless any suspicious activity is detected. In such a case,  however, footage may be shared with law enforcement agencies.

17. Surveillance footage is stored securely and separate from other servers and networks.

18. Areas that are under surveillance are clearly marked by signs.

19. If you feel concerned about us storing surveillance footage of you, you have the right to request copies of footage of yourself.
